Lilacs, Albany, WA, AU

Koncept 6.2, Sonic 85L + Tribal S'weed 23

Nice Easterly cruise with Steve & Shane popped out for a bit of a sail after we finished.

Ankle is still swollen & not 100% but had a go at an hour, not too bad a result considering I was a bit tentative, dragged weed out of the gybes a few times & there wasn no NM to start it. Steve gave me a right thrashing though! He's bloody fast across the wind on the Maui TR/Mistral combo.

Had a couple of cracks at the NM but didn't get consistent wind the whole way down. Also looks like there is new bit of bank appearing which means you have to run at the houses rather than the stake on lower tides.

Good fun but called it early as I'm pretty unfit at the moment Embarassed

Foiling setup with 7.8m

What does it mean when the deep water is glassy????

Given that a bit of fun with Glen and Ryan (the only one who got planing).

Realy happy withthe consistency of my speeds, the Nm includes 3 gybes and 2 uphauls and a hell of a lot of RSX pumping (did I mention the lack of wind)

Good times

few alphas a  NM on JP54 MXR24 weed but no improvement on the Mistral

Huge fun on a sunny day with Morts. Measured 18 kts on arival which immediately settled 12-15.

Sooooo much fun, a little more wind would have been nice as shown by the  NMs. Sail/board combo excellent. Thought the boom was slipping down, but maybe it was just the cutout zip moving.

Did I mention it was brilliant? So good to be out in an easterly. I felt at one point that more consistent wind would be good then remembered what it is like a Mandurah. The wind today was really steady.

Top 5 hour shows how much fun it was!

Forgot to put that results are from KA72 . Morts may have a point about the weed bank position. Hope not as it could ruin the NM run. A shorter more angled fin would have been good at each end and for the mile.

Good to see Morts in the walking wounding Dad Army Albanknackeds.  Nice numbers across the board , but the hours are a special level of goodness.

Only blight was Elmo and his hour - it could have been worthy, real worthy...Foot in mouthCool

With seven weekends of racing, looking after grandchildren, keeping the wife happy, visiting parents and the usual 50+ hr working weeks I should be able to squeeze a couple of trips in and will probably need some doughnuts.

Are you guys entering the hour comp in Nov. Hope we get some good conditions to give it a good crack.

Pity yo were Not here Mike. The hour was fun and with no kites out gybing both ends was a joy. Bet the alpha bean for today disappears 😀 Ok so that is easy to say the next day when we have already beaten it!
