Point Grey, WA, AU

fun in the sun at boomba,s with mike and fin.

started out on the iso107 and 7.8 R4 combo then changed to a 102 rrd x fire with a 23 muf delta as there was a few weedbergs

and a 7.0 severne R6 by the end was struggling to hang on to it as the wind got up a bit and water wasnt very flat by boomba,s standards.

I have to agree with Rob and Pas, that was a great fun day, fairly steady wind and total sunshine!

Wind was only 13kt average when I arrived, 6.6 and 65cm board conditions, but the wind was picking up. So decided to rig the 6.2 with the 53cm board and 21cm @ 55d deltoid. Thinking that by the time I hit the water that combo would be good enough, and it was.

Played on that till lunch time, then changes to the 5.8 on the new 48 with the 20cm @ 55 deltoid. This was good for the first hour or so, then it went from an exciting cruise to just short of survival mode. At the end of the last run I looked around, and couldn't see the other two. I didn't fancy being out there by myself if the conditions went up a notch to complete survival mode, so called it quits.

Couldn't translate the powererd up experience into good speeds or alphas, when the wind was strong enough it had become too choppy for me.

The weedburg mine fields were a bit disconcerting as well, I think my survival instincts were kicking in, that didn't help.

Decrepit is fuelled by Dorothy's Fruit Cake. It has never been tested, but is the equivalent of Popeye's spinach, or Asterix's golden elixir.  It is suspected that Decrepit sailing in your patch for an extended period of time will causes magical amounts of weed growth. This cannot be confirmed a urine sample is taken for testing. ATM no one seems keen to take the sample...

Before you ask Old Salt, no, he does not share, ever. Laughing
