Liptons, wsw to sw frontal gusty as F reminds me how crap these winds are, but good way to finish the day.  iSo 90 really enjoying this board more than the mistral speed though that board is definitely faster, TR16 6.3m PepeFoil 23.5/48, what a great fin, highly recommended if Pepe ever goes commercial, buy this fin!!!!!!!

Forcast looked good, through carefull execution and planning I got down there at a reasonable time to see HArdz and Yoyo getting some sweet runs.

I rigged and plugged in the speed board and f'ked it up for everyone.

After standing around failing to launch for 5mins I decided to go the bigger board, not boding well Hardz and Yoyo also came in.

The bigger board definately got going better and a couple of nice runs albeit on a  wierdarsed angle but fun all the same befoire the wind faded out.

Gotta love GAF frontal rubbish wind.

A paddock full of Peskys on the estate today. By lunchtime, they had all started grazing at Wamba Rd. I wasn’t confident the tide was going to stay high enough to be able to sail out of that part of the strip, so I joined the Teletubbies at The Hook where it’s that little bit deeper.

I had responsible parenting duties, so I had to limit my time on the water, but that was just as well, because I was stuffed. This was due to a lack of wise men at The Hook when the decision on rig size was made and as a result, I spent a lot of energy just wrestling things. Of course, by the time I had to bail, the breeze was dropping a bit and things were a little more under control.

The main aim of today was to test the FF22 against my FF22 speed prototype. To cut a long story short, I am well happy with the handling of the prototype, so I am going to get a few casts for further testing. Comparing the two fins the speed version is less draggy at the expense of its pointing ability.  I was tentative on the few bear-aways I did as I wasn’t sure whether I what the fin was going to do faced with small chop. So far there appears to be no problems, so on the next windy day, I will push it a bit harder, as it feels as though there is a long way to go before it hits its max speed.

It was also early days for me on the SB64 running downhill in small chop. I loosened up the tail trim a bit and it was like running on rails downhill. The board displayed very confident tracking and gave the impression that it was only in second gear. I am looking forward to dialling up a fair chunk more speed as I get the hang of things.

So, I stuffed up the sail size, enjoyed the Windtech SB tail trim adjustment immensely and had a short but Top Ten Fangy Fin Day.

Had a nice windsail at fangys with the usual suspects allready out on the water,,, oh, and a pescky invasion!!!???

But it was fun anyway, flying over the chop and at the west end, hit a big ray that I didn't see. I went over the front,

the ray started doing donuts in the shalows. My fin had got loose so I headed into shore and packed up.

Had the 48/44 muffin top board, Ka R5.5, Weed45/23cm, and a Smile   Cool

Ross failed miserably today, three responsabilities must be a few too many 1, Lock the gate 2, go for  distance 3, blitz the hour.

It was obvious on arrival Anita had rallied all the top guns knowing they would only be up against a few soft Telly Tubbies and the lead in the autumn cup would be theirs. Well a few of the Tubbies put in a half decent effort to limit the damage while the other took some bad advice and rigged too bigTongue out.  T1 was the stand out today putting in some decent K's with some good U turns and Fin put on a pretty good show in the short time he was out.

Great fun out there today even though we probably got our arses kicked.

woow what the surprise, I  never though of sailing today until I felt the breeze at midday!! No messages from anyone, I thought I go down there maybe I find someone to sail with!! ah ah ah, EVERYONE was there sailing obviously no one is working lol. Great to catch up with everyone Cool

I rigged up optimistic 5,4.. it never came as strong I though but NO regret, after all the weeks not sailing it was really comfortable and planning all the time, missing some power in the A but overall it was a great session Smile

Happy Days

A little further, alittle faster on the new Silver Bullet. Beginning to feel comfortable. Rather a lot too comfortable with only a 5.3 m sail up.

The smooth at Fangies still works on high tides.

Definately won wimp of the day with the smallest sail out there.

Big thanks to Elmo for fixing battens for me and even more importantly for showing me how.

Nice one guys Cool

I was keen for a sail with the team and the pesties but had a couple of senior moments. After a round trip back home to pick up some forgotton stuff and then only to find I didn't have my boom it was f@#k it, off home again but this time for a red wine with my sympathetic child bride.

Great session, MMobbers, it was fun sharing fangy's playground with you. We weren't being snobby setting up down the road, there are less rocks... and we did allow a couple of mobbers to park with us.

Looks like a nice day down there, even though the Peskies invasion was a success. Hope the captain can join you guys on the water again soon! I be he would have done a bit of distance to keep the Pinnas in place if he wasn't still holey.

I'm with Jonski, not the least bit jealous. It's windy here almost every day, and it's just the being spoiled from warm weather sailing that keeps me off the water. I may have to fly to Europe to visit family to escape this cold chicken sh*t for a bit.

Shame on you Sammy going to hang with the Peskys. I will put it down to being disoriented because you are normally hibernating by now ...great set of numbers all the same bro! Laughing

Teletubbies, hanging with the cool kids, and owning it today. A really nice set of numbers across the board guys, I am stoked for you two getting the reward after putting in the effort. It even rubbed off on Pas, braving the cold, getting some great runs and still one of the nicest looking gybers I have seen.Cool

Oh and Peter and John, it wasn't that good, there were some clouds at times. Tongue out
