1646 days ago 1 categories Strop rang while I was eating lunch, said he, Firey and Pacey were going to sail at Novarra. I was a bit sceptical, but it's not wise toignore Strop's advise, so I toddled on down.
By the time I arrived they were rigged and about to hit the water, and I was still an unbeliever.
Rigged the big stuff anyway, 65cm board, 6.6 koncept and the 30cm @ 40deg fin. Firey got planning first run but Pacey was only going in the gusts. Strop seemed to be going most of the time. So my doubts lessened somewhat. Turned out I had a ball, headed into the flat stuff above the rock garden. That was a bit disconcerting because I couldn't see any of the markers, not surprosing I guess it's ages since we put them in. My judgement must have been OK because I didn't hit a rock, and with that low tide and a 30cm fin, hitting a rock going through the garden would be guaranteed.
Hmm looking at this. I think I was well clear
So I've overlayed the rockgarden on the above tracks, (I think it's fairly close)
Didn't miss by all that much. Have to be very careful!!!!!

Quick after work foil at the local, probably could have gone for a windsurf at safety bay but forecast was less than yesterday. Just me and Frank out but he says he prefers kite foiling with Jonski so im on my own from now on.
Still a bit scared to send it on the new 135 cos I want it to look new for a bit longer. Also the fact that even though I am getting used to it im still not totally comfy with sailing on my own in offshore winds and tend to play it a bit safe.
A few good gybes and no big stacks so a top ten foily day.

There I was at home, about to turn the heater on, bloody cold, when the Motivator (Strop) messaged and said he was going for a slap, come down. So off I went and sure enough Strop was setting up, then Pacy rolled up and then Mike. Mike wasn't convinced but the Motivator is rarely wrong, so off I went, test bunny Bob. Got going easy enough and had a great day, had a bit of bother with weed and when the cloud came in and it got too cold for poor me it was quits.
That's my 2nd slap since early Febuary, last foil was in May so I was a happy chappy, thanks Strop, good to catch up with you, Mike and Pacy
CA SL66, 42 Venom, 7.5 Koncept and a rubber, I'm not as mad as the What Knots in Busso
