4426 days ago Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU.....At last some good wind on dam. Not for the first hour though.....very ordinary to start and then suddenly it came in pretty good and we were able to sail just about across the dam for a while.....Had a good chance to try my new aquisition which is a 2nd hand Screamer 116 Litre....about same year model as my 105l, just a bit bigger. A good day in paradise. Old 6.6m Loft 02.

4426 days ago Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU.....just Lyn, Hans and myself at dam today.....Started very ordinary and I thought if I got to 10km, I would give it away. But suddenly the wind kicked in from the East, & in better than we have seen for a couple of months so we all took advantage. Eventually of course it dropped.
Just used my old NP Package Tape and 120l S/Cross.

First sail in ages and sadly it was a slog for almost an hour until some half decent gusts came through for some planing runs. Water was beautiful and crystal clear as ocean has been glassed out for over a fortnight. Hopefully this SE wind will kick in overnight for some decent sessions.

Koncept 8.5, iSonic 107, MFC RC46
Lots of smoke haze today from the fire down south, hard to make out the launch spot after gybing sometimes. First real go on the 8.5, last time I took it out I had about 3 runs then my foot had an altercation with the fin requiring a trip to the hospital and 5 stitches. I can say now I am very happy with the sail, there is no way I would have gone out on my 7.5 but with the 8.5 I was planing most of the time. It's quite sensitive to boom height, as I have found with my other Koncepts, but once it was all set up right it felt light and balanced beyond what I was expecting for such a large sail. The iSonic continues to impress me too, probably a bit over finned with the 46 but having little trouble moving my immense weight around in <15 knots. I really don't think I need a bigger board any more.
