iS97, 6.3Blade, 35 S07 - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU NNE 25-30kn

Very solid seabreeze - Blasted off the water today with the wave guys on their 5.0's having trouble holding it down as well.  In my haste to get on the water I forgot my knee brace and I'm feeling it now with my knee pretty swollen.  Felt like a rodeo with some big offs just trying to pull the beast up but didn't go over the front thank god.  Just way too much and board was tail walking anytime I tried to go for it.  Conceded defeat and had a scary run downwind back home.  Shame I had baby sitting duties this arvo as I would've been tempted to rig the wave gear and have a more enjoyable blast.  Hopefully it is 5 to 10knots less tomorrow.

last sail Lake Cootharaba, QLD, AU

No wind 'til 3 pm then out we go with a big board in case I get caught out. Wind was about 12 knots to start with, but around 17 knots on the Eastern side....similar to yesterday.  Should have changed to the Screamer and a smaller sail but getting a bit late in the afternoon so put up with it.Picked up a 6 pak of Strongbow and having last supper with Jeffro, Marcia and Jasper who have been very good to me....thank you.

Can't believe I didnt use them sooner.  They definitely soften the initial pull / power going broad which is a positive in the rough stuff I sail in but top end there's no noticable difference at the speeds I sail at.  Will eventually change over for the bigger sails for peace of mind sailing out wide.

Really impressed with the 2012 7.0 blade too.  interested to hear how the 13's go as well.

Yeah Bob, I was thinking how good Great Keppel Island would be in a NE but getting over in the boat would be stupid in those conditions.  Could always sail I suppose but pretty risky.

Yer Agree Snags top end I dont think there would be anything in it.

I do like the SDM in the 8.6 mainly just because its a lighter mast.

If you are after a 490 RDM I have 2 here.

The Flying Dutchman said there was going to be a noreaster at Tinaroo today and he was right.

Just finished rigging and there is was and lasted for about an hour and a half then storm/rain/thunder

and lighting. When the rain had stopped and wind was gone. But managed a few runs.

It has been good to have a sail with you Bob on your last day here this time.

I hear the FNQ team might come down for a challenge here next Oct/Nov. GO Giants

It's been equally good to have sailed with you since you've been down and to see you enjoying yourself.

Hope the leg isn't too sore after today. Safe travel back home.
