Tried Stansbury at low tide. Had to walk through the sludge for 200 meters but once in the water found no weed and sailed to the 3 mile beacon looking for glassed over patches, near the spit, along the way. Seems the Sputnik wont go faster than 30 knotsFrown.

Does anyone know how to make a Sputnik go 35 knots?

What a day. Rocked up at 11:30. Had a few ports with carl. Thanks mate. Went out on the 9.5 and a 160 litre Bic. Came in after 30 km and changed to a 7m and 89 falcon. Finishing hour when I felt something in the rig let go. Looked down thinking the line had let got and I was relying on the tubin. As I did that the arm broke completely off and I found myself with one arm of the boom and the rig about ten metre away Fu-k. Floundered back and thought I'll just go back to the 9.5 even though overpowered but did not care at this point. Just got upwind in the flatter water when you guessed it the other f-ckn boom broke. Had to flip the boom around three runs in a row to get back what a shitta. Then pissed off I thought ef it and fully extended my only remaining boom and a small one at that onto my 7 m and went back out. Lucky it held and I finished the day reasonably happy. Is it just me or are booms getting weaker. Gun booms don't seem to be all that gun to me. Good to catch up with Pete for the first time in a long while. Fun day considering all the money it cost me:-((((((((

Interesting arvo at Boggy lake.  Decided to try newly acquired 8.4 rs6 and Black Project R40cm fin in Fanatic falcon 102.  Started out 12 - 15 knots and by the time i headed up to the top of the lake picked up to 13 - 18 knots.  Pretty happy managed a 31.11 on the screen with the 8.4 and mid 30 knot 10 second runSmile.  Saw Sam had changed to 7m so decided to change down aswell.  Decided on the 7m loft racing blade on isonic 86 with 33cm sl7. Started a 1 hour and after getting in the groove my favourite fin 33cm sl7 fin fell out of the fin base at 30 knotsYell.  Pretty slippery with no fin but managed to keep all the rig intact.  After a 1 hour walk back to car found only the tuttle base in board and also found two of Sam's booms broken on the shoreYell.  No choice i fitted the 35cm sl7 and headed back out.  Good cruise in the end - love the big kitSmile.

Fanatic falcon 102 / 8.4m neil pryde rs6 / Black Project R40 (very nice fin)Smile.

Isonic 86 / 2011 loft racing blade 7m / 35 cm sl7 and 33cm sl7 (RIP).

Boggy lake - 13 - 18 knots.

Embarassed Carl , Mate sorry in hinsight I really should have rang you, wind never went under 20 day and night all weekend. and sat at 23 to 28 all arvo till after dark.

Frown the nm run I took you on last time to get your 35 is stuffed now so have to do them accross the middl lake.

Very Very flat at the moment but the water is dropping very quickly.
