Jeff & I both wont be able to walk tomorrow His cut foot & I just got a flogging! and way out of form Gusty Gusty Gusty, 11-30knts bulltes comming accross the bay making a nasty chop but mostly 17-20knts. Sailed the CA 101 hoping it would be better in the lulls but I was under finned with the Choco 25.5 (.5 wear & tear) weedie was not big enought to drive off today with the bigger board in the choppy conditions. Shudda, Coudda changed up fin. Or down board size & slugged out the lulls, ?? slugged out the lulls anyway. Jeff sailed well B#$%&$d sailed rings round me today. Got slammed & over the handle bar quite a few times today, kinda happens when you feet go numb & you miss the foot straps in a 30kn gust. All and all was good to be out on the water & I hope we make off the bottom for this month. top 10 would be great

The strong wind forecast was all the invitation needed for Tricky and me to get the team off the near bottom and have some fun at the same time. Went out at 10 and the gusts were very strong so a outhaul adjustment made all the difference and I sailed around for half an hour before Tricky finished rigging and joined the fun. The water was choppy and even though we were sailing fully powered to well overpowered we needed the water to flatten off for faster times and as the tide dropped the water flattened a bit and the times improved. I know you can't ask for divine intervention, but iff the water had been properly flat the times would have been smokin. A couple off stack were had by me today and Tricky was auditioning for a job as a crash test dummy in the gusty wind. Towards the end of the session Tricky did some good gybes and a fast nautical mile. About half an hour before the session ended i trod on a bles-sed razorfish and i knew i was cut but no blood was trailing so we sailed out the session and returned to shore well worn out. On taking off the bootie there was a gash that stitches would not fix and Tricky applied the first aid (thank you Richard) and off to outpatience for the prognosis. Tetanus shot, antibiotics, seeweed dressing (how ironic) and being told it will take two weeks for the skin to grow back means joining the ranks of the sore foot brigade with Pete C and not sailing for a month. I won't cry.

Gusty day, still nervous about damaging foot but what the hell went out in stongest winds since return to sailing. Went right sized sail on bigger board instaed of Fanatic SL89. Proved good as lots of holes and gusts and most of the time was able to plane through holes.
Thought had a better alpha as sailed west side of boggy lake and was super flat both ens of gybes. Karl and Leon both up for session with me.
Where the hell was everyone else????
