Tried the western inlet at Stanley today. Bit choppy but may have potential with the right tide. Perk to post

Henty River Tas,

Wind picked up today to around 25-30 knots. More north in it making the run a nice bear away. Wind hung around all day swinging west later on allowing some full runs in both directions... (I kept falling off eliminating the NM). Did have 3 runs over 28 which im stoked with.

Seat harness and lots of encouragement and coaching made for a very good day.  I think the Carve will do 30.... not far away now Laughing

Magic weekend at the Henty, worth every single one of the 600km and driving home at midnight.

Henty Tas. Wind was there first thing in the morning but was nw so we couldnt sail the run. Overnight the water level in the river had dropped about 8 inches which created a very clean bank on the other side. Just after lunch the wind moved to wnw so we thought we would give it a go but struggled to bear away enough before hitting the other bank. We worked our way down the run and found a section of bank that looked ok and did a few good runs including the 39kt run but it involved full commitment. The gusts were reaching 25-28knts at times but the base wind was 18-20. we spent a lot of time walking back up the run. The wind then moved to the W and wew were able to do the full run down but struggled a bit coming back especially if you went too close to the oposite side were the wind would just dissapear. What a great day and happy with times. The henty still lives, it would benifit from a good flush out. Will post pics and vids on seabreeze later.

Well done for getting in to Henty Ben and also the two PB's.  Sounds like you got some good, consistent winds.

Perks, can you show a Google shot with you tracks of Western Inlet?

Jez - Camping was actually quite comfy with the grass sags under the tent, Paul found us a nice spot sheltered from the wind.

Only downfall was my $26 Coles tent.... prob should have thought that one through better....

I will put some photos in the thread on seabreeze and Paul is putting together a video...
