Awesome session, just fun out there. Some big gusts! Just a bummer it remained so square to the sandbar. But can't complain Smile  Even though my front fin bolt was half done up and the fin wanting to come out of the board each runSealed Stoked with a 40 5x10 and a high 27 alpha!! Wasn't easy out there at times. Well done allCool

Port Sorrell, TAS, AU, Great fun today, started on the M47 with 40s straight up finishing with a low 44.

Changed to the M41 which was better heading out into the famous Port Sorrell chop on the bare aways.

Great that Dave made the trip up. Good to catch up with everyone else.

Well done on the 5x10 Izaak and a fantastic corner.

Port Sorrell, TAS, AU  Memorable blast with  a bunch of big guns. Couldnt match their speed, but had a heap of fun.  Nice and flat close to the bank, but a whole lot choppier out where the big bearaways were happening.

Great speeds guys, and another sensational corner by Izaak. Cool

Certainly worth the trip up.  Sunny and windy (very windy)!  Cookie and Izaak were going for it through the chop and I saw Johno get lifted about a metre and then slammed by one squall while doing about 35 knots!  Great fun, but pretty tricky leaving the small patch of flat water along the bar and bearing away into ever-increasing chop with 40 knots of wind behind you (and on the opposite tack)!

Addendum:  Had a 44.065 knot 2-second when posting through KA72, but on closer inspection of the file in RealSpeed that run had a missing data point and the acceleration was a little messy.  I also had a second GPS that did not support the 44+ knot 2-second, so now posting my next fastest run of 43.14 knots!

Wow, well done lads. Some impressive 2 second peaks and alpha's in the session - Looks like it was about peak speed today cookie:)

I can only imagine what the rough was like in the 45 knot gusts.

Nice work Johno, not bad for an old bugger!!!

Very crappy video showing the conditions, but no sailing.  I thought I had Izaak and Cookie leaving the water, but mustn't have been on record (arghh). Still got a shot of Cookies GPS showing a peak 0.2 second of 46.41 knots!

Yes, pretty tough, but very fierce competition!  I've also changed my top 2-second down to my next best run, so no longer a 44.  The data was a little messy for that run and it was missing a data point.  My other GPS didn't support the 44 either.  Still very happy with a 43 though!!

Cool
