Lovely arvo on the water - great weather, decent wind and only a couple of fairly well-behaved jetskis. Ok, so the jetskis were a pain in the arse, but I'm trying to be charitable.

Annoyed I didn't crack 30 today, tried the top end of the runway for ages but just not quite enough wind. The NM was right down the middle through some 'interesting' chop which had me bouncing all over the place and then spinning out. Eurghk...

--Edit--

Hadn't noticed the alpha! Unsurprisingly it was on my Falcon - had a few cruisey runs on that before changing down to the JP. Don't think I've ever kept that one planing all the way round

Nice day today, but I just couldn't make the right decisions. I get there at 2 and it is capping and people say it is picking up and some people are changing down, so I put up the 6.2 and FSW 92. I have about half an hour of OK sailing.. planing most of the time, but not real fast. Then the wind dies off and I am floating about. After half an hour of slogging I go get the Starboard GO (with the 6.2). That is good for about 15-20 minutes, and then it kicks in!! By this time I can't be bothered changing again as I had to go out for dinner, so wrestled the starboard GO around for a half hour or so, and then packed up around 5-5:30. Would have had a much better day if I selected the right equipment. You win some and lose some. Still it was a great day to be on the water, and still had a ball. Looked like it was cranking when I left, and would have been good for some speed on the small stuff, but had to go.

Aiming to be out again tomorrow. Hopefully the wind will be better for the small gear!! We should go for a team distance PB. We should all go for over 100kms.

Cheers,

Adrian

Nice PB Sparky, it was really tricky sailing up the top of the runway today. I was stuck at 29.95 for ages, and didn't think I'd make 30 - just snuck one in...

We had some great runs up there today Cool

Cheers Mike - yeah, it was a beaut of a day. I went over to Kurnell to see if I could go any faster there, but as expected although the wind was stronger, it was like sailing inside a washing machine. How the hell did Conan post a 36 there the other day..?!

Hey Adrian - I'm sailing tomorrow too so see you there. I'm helping a mate who's just starting out though, so might not be able to dedicate the necessary hours for 100kms...

Thanks guys,

yeah the runway builders must have thought about windsurfing when they built it.....

Dave I said I'd get a PB or two. I did but not the one I expected to get.

I only saw you briefly on the water Adrian, didn't recognise you with the helmet on. Didn't see you at all out there Sparky.

Good team effort, the best for a while.

Good luck today. Back to the world of work for me!
