Weird winds today, 2 to 20kts ESE to SSE

There was even one gust that was only about 200m x 200m just the weirdest wind for a long time. More like a westerly than southerly that's for sure!

Good to get out, and catch up with the usual river rats.

I switched from my iSonic 90L, TRXI 7.0 and 31cm VMax up to 120L, TRX 7.7 and 44cm fin. Amazing what a difference 10% sail, 33% board and 50% fin will do to your planning ability! Peak speed on the big board was a 'little' out of control :)

Damn gybe just shy of the magic 20k... :(

But I did enjoy a few REALLY long runs from Taren Point to Dolls Point.

Remi,

Impressive speeds for the runway in a southerly... what was the swell/chop like?

It was relatively flat for a E/SE a bit messy/sharp chop near the runway/river
