Early arvo session in the building NEr. Very slow and patchy to get going, even for the early afternoon. Slogged it forever, but for the last 45mins or so (up till 2.30pm) had the power spot on, and over the flats down the inside of the tarmac. Low tide and no other water craft - sweet and smooth as. Was building nicely as I left.
Took out the giant fin for some early planing, and in the end what was a good test of its top end. Amazed at the control of the big Vmax, and it took a lot of wind before any hints of an unwanted launch.
Finally started thinking about laying over a big race sail in its gybe - with some degree of success - probably about 10 degrees actually - off the vertical.... still a long way to go! (the Canmore's error with the alpha is probably emabarrasing me here )
