Kyeemagh, NSW, AU

Exocet RS4 - Loftsails 7.8

Nice Southerly, hardly anyone on the water, must be winter...

Kyeemagh - gasa station, NSW, AU || 18-22 SSW

RS5/ Koncept 7.5/ RSx44 fin & RS3/Vmax 37

Fighting the chop and the rig, runs with the RS3 much more fun, but wind a bit too patchy

If only I checked my GPS, might have made the full 100KM today. Oh well gave up as I was the last one still on the water (and 1st on!).

Rob, Craig, Conan, and a copule of long-boards all packed up before me.

Gusty as, 4-24kts, most lulls around 10, so suited the foil, but not the gusts :)

Saw giant eagle over the water, pretty cool!

Upwind on the 1000 foil, felt like I was sailing 30 degrees into the wind! But the 90% angle SW of my track proves otherwise. Theory holds.

Kyeemagh, NSW, AU. Shell servo for a gusty ssw/southerly on isonic 107L/7.8m/40cm. Arrived just as Remi and others finishing and got the last of it. Fun trying to navigate all the bumps at speed.

Oh gear... forgot. so a bit of everything today

  • 7.0 TR proved pretty good
  • Starboard 147 foil board some times
  • AFS 1000 foil, with V3 tail sometimes
  • Exo 110L with ERD 34cm fin, sometimes
  • AFS 800 foil with V3 (first time) at the end.

I was enjoying the day, despite the gusts, so tried a bit of everything.

Note to wanna-be foilers... stick to summer if your trying to work on gybes, or extremes, or just cold. Man that water got cold fast. Felt like winter already.... oh wait, yeah right.
