Primbee, NSW, AU

Falcon 99, OD7, 31 tribal weedie, the isonic 87/32 CL sl

When I read last weekend that Kazza got up at 2am for a windsurf, 6am was pretty lightweight to be getting up this morning to catch the forecast big SW at Primbee. Wind charts did not look good when I got up but decided to go anyway, there was no wind at all to start with, but then some light breeze arrived around 9.30ish. Went out on the falcon and 7m and got planning for a good 35 ks. Was dying to try out the isonic which arrived from tassie this week, kept the 7m on as it was still pretty light but got enough planning runs in to come home very excited about this board. So light and well made. Looking forward to getting it out in some good 6.2 winds to let it fly real soon.

Was joined by Rob on his kite for a while, then a few others out from yacht club. Plenty of big jellyfish out in the lake. Quickly stopped in at Botany Bay on way back, saw Artur but missed Powersloshin, plenty of others out enjoying the breeze there.

First run on the isonic

Callala Bay, New South Wales, AU

PD SL100 & 115 / R5 OD 7.0 / BP RS38 & JP RS42

Nice surprise noting there wasn't much forecasted. A moderate ESE that dopped just as I hit the water. Gave me the chance to try my new PD 115 along with some nice pointer fins. So nice compared to the weedies.

Met Marcelle, one of the new locals (both sea changers) along with another guy just getting back into it. Between the two of us, we were able to kit him out with some more recent gear so he's really stoked.

Pity the wind died off but I'll take 15km over nothing any day!

I'll be interested to see if the isonic  is faster/ more user friendly than the Falcons..Yeah I read re Kazza's 2am start..I had trouble getting going for 8.30 am..obviously not dedicated enough to get those big stats..

Nah too many tourists in the area! The grey suits prefer them so I'm told....

Go the Isonic! Had a blast on mine in last Wednesdays southerly. You will fly for sure Dezza.

Nice cruise there TP. Glad you didn't upset the s...., turtles, penguins, whales etc. Sounds like CB is getting popular again 😎
