My mate Neil Hurrell rang early and said he was just going out at The Fludgers as the wind was wsw abit off so Mag and I went down and after a quick breakfast on the beach rigged 6.6 and joined Neil in the sunshine leaving Mag reading her book :) With the tide still fairly low and coming in we had the best of the of the sea with a nice rolling swell :) After a few runs at the Fludgers I then beat up to The Manor gybing around Wadgate Post a mile and a half out , it was then a mega broad reach back running down the swell trying not to lose the front of the board and making my back leg really sing !!! I reached The Fludgers but decided to continue down to The Dip to check out the conditions there !!! I buzzed by the back of several large yachts really close , some waved but most looked very solomn :( perhaps it was because they were going so'ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow !!!! I made it back to The Fludgers as the wind had picked up abit and some were changing down but after a quick lunch went out with the newly arrived Mark Smalling who as usual is the kiss of death on the wind as it dropped but the sun had gone in and I had had a brilliant sail so decided to call it a day - Felixstowe dosn't get much better than this :)

A couple of hours before tide turned. 96l/6m was a comfortable ride. Some chop/swells to ride and turn on. Kept well upwind and when wind dropped drifted back to start. Nice sail on a summer's day, but still well of wearing a shortie

First good sail here I've had this year. Constant wind, sunny and big but organised chop. Maxed on the 7.8. Sailed upwind to Hamowrthy and back - lots of boats out racing. A great days blasting.

JP 68, RSS 7.8, S10 39.
