CASP40, REflex3 6.2m, 19slingshot

Not fuc#ing happy. The combo felt sweet all day but i was slow. They best I got was two  37.01's. Even though i was fully powered i think my board was too small. NOT FUCKING HAPPY. Was humbled by snides and 25 today. Back to the drawing boardEmbarassed I will go and  find a dark corner to sulk in.

edit:: I forgot mention i bent my  spreader bar 20mins into the session. this resulted in s marathon 45min turn around to and from the car. i should have given up then.

Ben, Know how you feel, have ruined many a gr8 speed session with the WRONG gear.  The sail looks right for what you were sailing in, Fin probably way too small, people are using that size in 35knots plus.  Looking at Crasher when he used his slinshot 19 he was crabbing sideways down the run in 25 to 28 kts of wind.  You need at least a 21cm Slingy.  Given low volume there'll be some drag in not ideal winds, and you;ll need longer gusts and a longer run on the flat stuff to get the potential out of the board in 22 to 28kts.  The baord was designed for Sandy Point in 35kts plus for a man your size, Snidesy might get away with 25kts.  But if you are up there and limited with boards, grab a 21cm slingshot, and maybe a longer sandbar, which is all tidal dependent up there unfortunately.
