Quickie before work, 30 mins before had to get off water, and wind was looking good, Pepe and Decrepit also turned up and still out there.  JP 76 Slalom V  TR-4 7.6m  JPweed36

7.7m hellcat, tabou rocket 115, 40cm mfc weedie. Nice day out with Hards and Decrep. Good cruising but slightly underpowered with the Hellcat. Have to go bigger methinks.

Fun light wind sail with hardie & pepe. I started of with the big bird and new Avalon 6.0 and 34cm weedy. tried the thommen half way thru, but wind was dropping so was a bit hard to get it to plane. went back to the big bird but swapped to the herby fin from the thommen. This feels like a nicer fin, but again was a tad too small for the dropping wind.

looking forward to finishing the new timber carbon fin for it, think that will work OK, Pleased with the alfa, the big bird and the avalon 6 are so nice to gybe with.

That's a hell of an alpha for the peak speed. Top stuff, Decrepit!

Thanks lao shi, I'm really happy with both the new board and sails, The new board probably lacks a bit in speed, but gets on the plane quick and it's very easy to ride in under powered conditions, gybes like my old speed board.

I wish I'd taken the thommen out first, there was enough wind for it then, and it would have been faster.

The sails are so light, the 6.0 is 3.3kgs, and there is no cam pressure on the mast so they rotate super easy. They are also fully shaped with next to no wind, so get going very quickly. I just have to remember to pull them on a bit slower, if there's too much board resistance taking off, they can throw you forwards.
