5126 days ago Found a new spot further upwind.Nice sand bar and the flattest water I've seen.Only 500m long (800 with run in) but it felt great to have such steady wind all the way.Looks like it will be great for those strong NE session. The wind is better and less obstructed compared to where we normally sail.
Was getting these speeds in not much wind, 20-25 kts mostly. Nice to be able to get the board trimmed so accurately and work on the fin properly. We normally can't feel any of this with all the chop. This must be what those Dutchies have got x 2kms of it...heaven.
Was on my 51cm slalom board with 5.1 Maui TR3 (too small) and 250/25deg fin
That's one negative , once you've slogged upwind you don't want to go back down wind to get a bigger sail, so what you rig is probably it for the session.
The wind went strong NW and I got lost in the new territory, hit a sand bar, over the front and broke the webbing strap on my harness so that was the end of that.
Big walk home, felt like Rob Dinks.
