I decided to rig my smallest wave sail and have a little putt around because I'm pretty sore from yesterday. Not many kms because I had to keep having a rest. I had some good gybes but must have gone outside the radius or didn't sail far enough. At least I got the 30 knot monkey off my back.

A rare short but sweet after work sail. Couldn't quite line up some of the big gust coming through which seemed to quite banded.

2327 days ago Safety Bay, WA, AU. Epic sess on the SP47, in a solid 25-30. First run had 40.11 on the dial and knew it was on. 2hrs later and I was shattered, but still going at it. Gave it away when I was physically unable to gybe any more. Gusts seemed hard to line up today. Man, sore now, but worth it

I arrived a bit late to the party so being in a hurry, I didn't take much notice of the wind and I just rigged the same 7M I used yesterday. After rigging it was becoming apparent that I probably should've rigged a 6.2M or 5.8M. It was pretty busy at Melville so well done to anybody who managed to score some decent speed while dodging traffic and dealing with wash from the other boards. So I sailed to Wally world for some flatter water. Tide was a tad lower so could feel the weed tugging on the fin and had to be a bit more selective about where I could sail. Relieved to not have hit any underwater wildlife today. Had a couple of 34's then I chased the ferry back to Melville. Only did a couple of runs at Melville but don't thank I was able to do any more than 33. Went out the back and decided it would be easier to gybe at Wally world than battle the gusty Burke st foreshore. Few more runs at Wally World and You Beauty!!! Finally cracked 36 knotts on the last run. That's been a long time coming after scoring a high 35 a few years ago on a borrowed Mistral. Surprised to see a good alpha, thought I only nailed one good gybe which I stacked shortly after plainging out of it.
Good to see Flat Chat out on the water going for some good speed runs.
