Green Island, QLD, AU SE winds 18-24 knots -incoming tide Jp 60 w Evo 10 7m2 tsw 29 .

Nice little session on the reef flats after breakfast .

Rained earlier (when water level was perfect ...) then tide came in quickly so flat water lasted ~ 20mins .

Good fun as always .

Go Hard Billy !!

Green Island, QLD, AU

A fun few hours on the Island, mid week = a great day. Not a picture perfect day today with a very Victorian feel to it - 4 seasons in a day and on repeat every hour !!! The Doc was already ripping up the low tide when I arrived and  pretty sure its safe to say that he had the best of the conditions - smoking effort. It was footballs to stadiums out on the water today. Very easterly, then swinging around and back again and choppy and rough as high tide hit at 1'ish.

My first sail on a 90lt board for, I'd say a year or so. Wow, so different, but noice. Picture this, a beach full of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, you name them, they were there....Billy decides, ive got this, lay down my first jibe for the day, over the grassy area, stepped forward, leaned in, raking in and powering forward, eyes steely with confidence........and then the waters errupt in a flurry of foam and cursing. I'd missed the board altogether and stepped right into the water Surprised. Confidence from that point was at an all time low Laughing. I could see them on the beach out of the corner of my eyes re-enacting to their mates my misfortune.....

Suffered from being under done expecting a solid 20-25. In reality, it was very wishy washy and really tough to line up any sort of speed or NM run so I just stuck to the reef flats. Water temp up here at the moment is just devine. Any ways, well worth the effort.

Used: 90 RRDV9 XFire, 36 Tribal S1, 6.2 ODM1 - way under done in the light stuff, but the fin was way to big in the bullets that came through.
