Nice session at Fangy land on the WindTech 57 and 64 SB with 7.0 Loft Racing blade and Tribal 20cm Delta fin. Nice to see a couple of other Windtech boards out - Fangman was out for a few hours and Pacey turned up just as I was about to leave. Definitely cleared the cobwebs after a pretty hectic week at work. Couple of nasty weedburgs around that I managed to avoid!!

Safety Bay, WA, AU

Planned on meeting Boz and Stroppo at Liptons but got over driving and pulled into Safety Bay

Pretty ordinary with the wind direction, gusty wind and low tide.

The sandbar in the pond looks quite different than last year, seems to be more sand so be very cautious i reckon.

Pretty obvious how it was with the KsUndecided

Arrived just as Dan was packing up to leave after a long session. Rigged my 7.0 on Dan's advice, at which point a 30+ knot rain squall came through, making me doubt my selection. Fangy then headed in, at which point the breeze dropped to about 10 knots.

I eventually headed out anyway, and as soon as Fangy left, the sun came out, the breeze steadied to a nice 20-24 knots, and I had a really enjoyable sail by myself, fully powered up the whole time. More flat water would have been nice, but all in all a very pleasant sail.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Going for Hr but got skunked last 10 minutes, lots of fun with Strop who was killing it out there onthe hr and Ben just using up thye whole esturie it seemed.

Lots of Westerly in the wind  blowing mainly so off shore but heaps of fun, very last run peak 40.21 was more a lark as I had finished sailing but noticed a squall coming, jokingly said to strop and ben going for one last run for a 40 and as it happens this was the gust, had to go into the channel and pick up speed through the chop but was so much fun, strop and ben on the shoreline I'm sure where shaking there heads. PS Lipotons and Point Grey are looking so good no bergs no big clumps of weed just clean water with healthy weed on the bottom, get the right tide and this year is going to be epic, bear aways in any direction. Bring on the SW.

Thanks Stropp and Boz for the heads up on Liptons. Enjoyed working on my alphas. Happy with a 24 but squandered a couple of chances to do better. Cheers for the tips Stroppo. Stayed out for an hour but there were a couple of lulls in there so happy to get 21+ to support Boz's effort. Watched Boz's 39 from the shore, well timed. Tried the isonc 76L for teh first time to try to improve the 2 sec but too much flex and not enough rake in the lttle fin I had in the board.

Very pleased the breeze came back in for you Pacey - it was looking a bit desperate for a while there!Laughing

Thanks Anita, nice to be back out there with some steady breeze again, its been a while.

Fangy: yes I was very concerned as I waded out that I wasn't going to get enough wind to get going at all, and that I would have to do the walk of shame back to the beach. But it kicked in really nicely and after that I was never underpowered or overpowered. Wish all my sailing was like that.

Nice one Andy Cool

Another fun river session (ocean too weedy) - smaller windswells than yesterday but still grunty enough to ride downwind Smile

WSW 18-28 knots

Fantastic session, Boz! You are on fire! Great backup from Ben. Lovely  set of scores to start the month! Go Pinnaroos!  Liptons was the place to be. Hardly  any  wind here - I missed  it by a week, but  at least it is warm.

Great result Ben considering the lulls, just looked at mine and wallowed for 5 minutes at the end and a couple during the run, rekon we should give it another crack on a good SW, looks like plenty of water over at Point Grey so will make for some long smooth runs with a 25 fin.
