10-13 kts ENE, swinging around to E. Whilst it was sitting at 13, I was a happy chappy. Would have loved more of course, but ya take what ya get at this time of the year. Wasnt really expecting a sail, so the bonus has already been claimed. B2 had his big hanky up and was very happy chirping around in the light stuff. His gybes have improved no end, really awesome to see. Couple of runs in and out together, but he eventually pulled away and left me slugging it out in a very shifty breeze, direction and intensity. Good job mate.

Used: WT72, WT43 (Fin), 7.8 OD M2 - not quite a top ten day. But the water clarity was just brilliant.

Unexpected light wind arvo sail with B1 off the mudpit.  The wind gods graced just enough for us both to be up and planing for the most part of the session, which is nice for this time of the year...  Perservered with a little rib/chest soreness from touch footy duties during the week.

The U-turn completion %'s are improving, even though the alpha data didn't really reflect today...

B1 looked pretty damn comfortable with his slightly smaller sail and big bum Windtech board, that is until the wind started to fade towards the end of the sesh, so I had no other choice than to do a couple of yahooing drive byes...  (important to mention I have copped plenty of those ones in the past!) Laughing

Just another beautiful sunny day in Tropical Far North Paradise!!

Lake Cootharaba, QLD, AU. Awful on & off wind with big holes in it, to much of a dredgefest so gave up after an Hr.

Bowen, QLD, AU

Bowen regatta weekend, so thought I would try the A class cat out. First sail in Bowen since pre GPSTC days, and I am starting to wonder why I don't come back more often. Didn't quite pan out as expected. Breeze was more than I thought, the boat was a major handful, so parked it for the day and dragged the boards off the reserves bench for some freesailing with my wing man Phil. Managed to finally meet the Townsville and Airlie chapters ofthe mob, who were racing windsurfer LTs. Looked like fun.

Much less chop than Mackay, beautiful colour and clear. Topped off the weekend with some perfect cat racing conditions Sunday morning.

Bowen, QLD, AU

Got half the session logged after ducking back to the van park in the car and forgot to turn off the GPS....Ahh well I guess I'll have to redo all those pb's. Anyway had a real blast sailing out here with Troy, a truck load of little kids in boats at the regatta, even spotted a wally riding Snorkel at the regatta. Forcast was looking pretty ordinary but the Blowen Bowen theory held good and we got a good 15-18kn breeze to play with and nice water to boot. Mental note to come back here more often.

Hey Fangy, the new Severne M2 8.6 sail certainly lends itself in the lighter wind days!!! Smile
