Mackay, QLD, AU

Light wind challenge between myself and Gordon on the JP Superlight. Managed to pump onto the plane most of the time, but was a battle keeping upwind of the sandbanks with the wind direct onshore. Good fun while it lasted. Vintage Starboard Formula, 8.5 Ezzy Lion, Tribal 46.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU  Fun arvo sesh off the mudpit on the big gear with B1.

Light onshore Easterly breeze to begin with.  First run had me struggling to keep upwind landing back on Kiter's inlet.  Then B1 joined on my ol "Big Woody Futura" which has been superbly mended, after the delamination, by board doctor Gaz with huge appreciation!! Cool

Managed to work my way back upwind, but then lost track of B1, so did a couple of long runs past Yorkey's Knob thinking I might have to send a search party out- but Alas, I finally spotted the big Severne sail way over the other side near Double Island! Surprised

Phew, back to upwind sailing I then went.  Thankfully the wind then picked up a couple more knots and turned a little more to the South for the rest of the sesh, so enjoyed having a few more shorter runs closer to the beach.

B1 did a great job getting back to base- said he quite enjoyed the challenge!

Had a nice chinwag with Freddo, who was taking the pooch for a walk, when derigging.

Maybe more tomorrow if the wind gods deliver.

Used the Jag 125, Severne 8.6 M2, Venom 48

"Long May our Big Jibs Draw!"

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Light wind arvo at the Mud Pit with B2, who very graciously loaned me his Futura 125 as my WT72 is in getting some minior repairs after a run in with a fin Yell. 10-12 kts, started off easterly, but whilst I was basically opposite Double Island, a southerly change caught me way north of me having any chance of getting back to the beach in one leg. So, then began the 7 leg effort and 2 hrs, to get home. Loved it. Plenty of wildlife out wide and remained on the plane apart from a few holes.

Great afternoon, and loved the banter with Freddy Burke at the end off the session. Used: Futura, 9.4 ODM2, Tribal MK1 48 .
