An exercise session was the go today but I got more than I bargined forUndecided

Arrived to 20 -27knt gusts so rigged the 5.6 Loft RB on the Isonic86 and FFF21 slotted in. As soon as I hit the water it moderated a bit, got some nice runs in early but struggked to keep on the plane. The 6.3 would have been better would have saved the groveling but I did get a work out. The FFF21 let me down with a couple of spin outs & caught some weed, it seems to leave a trail of bubbles on starboard tack now, must need some TLCSurprised better get the hammer out for some panel beating & the 80grit to work on itWinkLaughing. The wind was now gusty as all S*^t and flicking from NNW - WSW so called it time to head in. 40m later I made the rock wall then the walk of shame back to the rigging areaEmbarassed If I had headded in 5min earlier it would have saved that grovellCry

At least mission exercise / sail fittnes session Done, tick that off till next timeTongue out Still was great to be on the waterCool

Lake George, SA, AU   SOLO  2 to 35 knots  mostly 25 to 35 North switched to west at the end.

Got to Coxys in morning

rigged 7,8 and 113l went to water too strong walked back

rigged 7.0 with mistral 95 speed. sweet alittle rough but doable, 40.69 max, did great mile

rigged 6.2 with mistral 73 L 47cm, first time on board and alittle sorting to be had, didnt feel comfortable but pulled 42 max , but felt like 44's lol.

got too windy even for that so had a rest and

rigged 5.7 - its was nice but couldnt do the speed in anger as wind died, I mean died to 5 knots, lucky I was up wind by 1 mile, took an hour to drift home.

great day rigged 4 times but happy to try out the small board.

The mile on the big mistral was awesome felt like 40 the whole time !! lol fully lit for over 2 mins.

Thanks guys for your comments.was big day by myself! Lots of hard training last year , lots of listening to other great sailors , saillquick, Chris Lockwood , Sam , tricky and Carl . I remember when I got a gps watch I thought it was faulty as I went flat out and it rdad 26 knots !! Lol 30 knots was a big barrier so I’m stoked with 40 now!!

Great session Peter. Its not easy sailing on the lake in that wind direction. That's a seriously fast NM. What fin did you use on the 47?

used a 21 tribal weed speed, had the 16 delta tribal speed ready but too much chop and thought I might lose it over the choppy sections.

21 was good
