kato (37520km): Lake George, SA, AU I'm back ! The body felt good today, must have been the arvo start . Rigged the 9 cos noone was planning and I though I'd stir up a few to come out for a slog. That didn,t work. 3 runs in and the wind picked up to 15kts. Bugger. Rigged the 7.7 and kept the same combo underneath and get the Fangy Fin a good test with a 1 hr and a bit of speedsailing. Fangy reconned that it wouldn't do over 30. I love a challenge. Pretty happy with the results given the fin and sail size as everything was fully lit by the end. A nice little supprise wind given the expected forcast. Sl 120, Fangy Kato special 28, KaRace 7.7
Peter Johnston (8869km): Lake George, SA, AU Another short sail today as partner keen to get back to our cabin (we had been there since 11am and left at 4pm). Amazing sail being out on big gear in the light breeze just as it kicked in - planing on pure glass is amazing! Nice sailing in shorts, 1mm rashie, sunnies and straw hat. My new 7.7 KA Koncept felt very balanced, even when the wind kicked in more - just a question of lay back and enjoy the ride! CA SL 53 with Atomic weed weapon 21cm - too small as I couldn't point, so swapped it for a 31cm JP weedie. With 7.7 KA Koncept.

Went to Invy with Jerry, Jeurgen and Simon. They were on wave gear but I went out on the big speed board. It was hard work getting across the channels killer chop to the bank and it was such a short run, hardly worth it. Did about 5 runs, saw a 39 on the screen then decided to change to Wave gear and have more fun. The wind picked up a notch and swung a bit so the speed bank was actually pretty good now....Kemsta and the locals turned up. I did a bunch of runs on the wave board and saw a 35 plus on the screen...would have to be a PB on that gear!! All in all a fun afternoon.
Cheeky Monkey 53 wide, KaSpeed 5.7 and Atomicsurf Weed Weapon 22 ( the fin was friggin awesome) then Atomicsurf Fusion 65, Ka Kamikaze 4.7, Atomicsurf Fusion Freewave 30
