Tone (3760km): Lake George SA Isonic 94, KA Koncept 6.6, weed weapon 25cm Eyes and greed- shoulda used 5.8 again, but the 6.6 not out of control at all, just could not get it to sail 'right' with harness lines too long(?) as wanted to get 'in' board, load the boom and board differently from yesterday, - then SQ said later- move mast back, ah dang, others doing better numbers on smaller rigs so-eyes and greed. But not a bad sailing day though, tired a little too.

Sailquik (29582km): Lake George, South Australia. Another day of SSE, 15-20 knots. Today I decided to go with the smaller board and sail for comparison and was immediatly faster than yesterday in pretty much identical conditions. It's quite puzzling why I cant get better speeds from my 7m and IS97, but there it is. I had a go at about half a dozen Alphas at the end of the session in front of the Cockies Launch, and was dissapointed to see the best Alpha. Investigation revealed I had a mid 26 and mid 25 @ 60m proximity. . I might hvae to make a a couple of flags to stick into the mud. LOL! Very happy with the NM in those conditions, and it was just great fun speeding around in mostly glassy flat water with Jill, Andy and Tony. I recon I spotted Dezza upwind as well. The sailors have mostly left now so we have the whole lake to ourselves. IS87, 6.3m KA Race, Atomic 22cm Nuclear weedy, Mini Motion GPS. |
