Port Douglas, QLD, Big kids session in Port this arvo.went down the beach for happy hr had over 20kts on the beach and way more out the back and rain squals on the horizon..Rigged burnt out 6.5m Turbo cranked down to the max could of used a smaller rig but just finished putting more sail tape on 6.5 and wanted to see if it was still a keeper.. 105 Fox was fined up with 38cm to help fight strong tide and a really chopped up sea..My good friend Simmi came down on 95lt Fox looking for some action and to try out some longer harness lines i gave her she had a good fun session and went home burnt out but happy.. I Had a very solid blast and Fox felt very good but was taking some big hits out on the reef break decided to go and do a fin change to 36 cm as i had heaps of power and didn't realy need bigger Fin..Thats when my Nephew' Ari' who is a' hot shot 'young sailor showed up and stole my board and grabbed Simmi's small rig while she was having a pit stop.. He went for a good blast to road test Fox..He has one of my dead Foxes and wanted to try a healthy one before he makes up his mine weather to rebuild old one..He was very impressed said it was fast in a very chopped up sea and gybed great even when over powered..i finaly got my board back and did a few more laps felt like it was gusting around 30kts out the back was realy rough got spat of once and dropped 2 gybes, you know it is windy when your board starts to do back flips when trying to water start..Guess it was a good paractice session.Glad i was on a Fox.. All good fun..Cheers Ed..
