What an afternoon!   Looked very windy..so much that I was scared using my 6m..I have rigged anyway. Took the board down to the water  and the wind has dropped to nothing. Not true!

Quick rerigging..up comes the 7m. It was perfect. I was desperate to do  one hour which I needed.  I did it but got really tired by the end  as the wind has increased more so, I was very happy to come home.

It was a good arvo all and all.

Tricky conditions at Burrum today. Forecast was 20 SS/E knots and it was on the way out for the 1.30 start.

Exocet RS4, 7m Overdrive and 37 Vmax was just nice , but then the wind dopped off , maybe 5-10 knots at the official start time .

Some waited along the sandbank, some floated patiently waiting for the wind to come back. It did come in again around 3pm maybe 10-15 knots .

So we had nearly an hour of reasonable conditions before the 4pm finish. Still great to be out sailing at Burrum with 30+ fellow sailors.Smile
