Lake George - 13 to 18 knots - w - s/w.

Nice little sneaky sesh with Sellicks bogan.  Been watching the forecast and had a couple of misfires with forecast and not being able to get the time off when forecast lined up.

Went to boggy yesterday and the wind was flukey and dropped out mid morning so decided to keep going to LG.  Only a cruisy forecast but who cares when it's my favourite happy place Smile.

After a coffee and bacon and egg roll i met up with Shane at Packin.  The water is shallow but Cockie's is flooded and you couldn't get to the launch spot.

Decided on the mid sized kit with a couple of dark clouds rolling in and off we went.

A couple of decent runs toward Barbie island - the rocks are out the water so easy to spot and soon had a 34.6 on the screen.  Soon backed with a 35 knot on the screen towards the spit in the glassy water.  Wow the weed is thick and the water is low but still alot of fun as usual.

The wind was typical gusty westerly but managed to keep planing the whole sesh till the end.

Packed up mid arvo for the drive home and work tomorrow but the battery in the car was flat.  Left a couple of lights on and played music thru the radio loud lol.

Shane didn't have leads so we went and asked the local camper but he didn't have any.

We managed to get a 4wd crew to help but couldn't start it.

Jimbob came to the aid and his son had some leads that got it going and then for the long drive home.  Cheers Jimbob and Shane for the help - lucky i wasn't by myself lol.

Used the Fangy speed 21 in the Patrik 100 and 2020 7m ka sails race - what a great combo - the Fangy went upwind and gybed awesome - very happy with this fin Smile.

Nice little diversion on the way to Vic, down to Lake George, SA, AU. Met up with Carl as he had driven down the night before. Prrobably not as windy as i would have liked but still a nice session but with a few glugging moments. Must learn to gybe away from the weed when the wind is not as strong, but its so flat :-). Used the mach 1 7.8 I picked up from Daishy the night before with 22 Carbon MUF and 114 Mistral. Good combo but found myself struggling to get up wind when it dropped.

Fun and games trying to get Carls car started at the end of the day, got it going in the end and headed to Minyip with a quick stop over at the Penola Takeaway for a well deserved Hamburger, very nice although I was pretty hungry by then.

Happy Days when ypu get a sail after 6 weeks of nothing.

Big effort for some TOW, that almost became TOWING. :)

Happy y'all sailed. I ditched bog on a crappy forecast and it looked like it would have been a fair sail after all. Just too far for me to drop and run. D'op.
