Point Grey, WA, AU   Was 1/2 way through printing a backpack gopro mount when noticed wind had picked up at Mandurah.  Stopped the print bolted it onto a chopping board, chucked it in the camelbak and headed down.  9 Knots, gusting to 10 on arrival.  Went out as wanted to test the new mount and also do recon to Nrimba Cay.   Was marginal and the 28 Fangy Fin was bounching along the bottom for the first km so a real struggle to make any effort to get going.   The next km was deeper but still a lot of flappy bird action.  Then suddenly the wind improved and got going and made it all the way to other side of Austin bay, passing Nrimba Cay on down wind side that was clearly marked with 3 poles with one having what looked like a dead bird on it (will have to check the gopro footage to see what it was).  Didn't go to the other bank as there were a couple more markers and looked like was getting shallow.  Jumped off as GoPro remote was having a fit so wanted to check camera.  Jumped back on and got going easily and this time tried to pass the Cay on upwind side.  Ground to a halt about 50m from the northern marker.   Was more hard clay than rock.  Walked 50 or so meters and got going again.  Wind died when I got into Robert Bay so headed back to Austin Bay but the wind had dropped off and never really got going again.   Water depth pretty much everwhere was just over 38cm to maybe 50cm.  120 Tabou Rocket, 8.6 Severne Turbo M4, FF28

Map showing position of the three white markers on Nrimba Cay.  The southern side extremity seems to be relatively accurately marked but the northern side not. Water depth on my north pass was 25cm or less. Both passes I was roughly 50m from the markers.  Looks like would need to be much further north of the marker to clear the Cay but safer in general to stay on southern side.  I was doing about 16knots on both passes with a 28 fin and the Caddadup tide was around 0.79 (Peel inlet not working).
