Bowen, QLD, AU

Day 2 of the Bowen weekend, better breeze today with a bit more of chill in it. Aside from yesterday's crew, a couple of the local LT lads were out, the usual kites and a wingding. Reasonably well powered on the 7.5, WT SB72, Tribal 42 combo. Quite choppy and onshore making it hard work at times. Great fun and worth the drive.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Finally, the breeze turned Easterly and came in closer to the beach. Not all the way, there was still a 500m gap between the beach and the wind line, but it was, in every sense, worthwhile rigging for.

Fintness held out for a 2 hr sail with quite a few tea breaks each time we got back in. B2 should have a reasonable Hr out of all that in 13-16 kts.

Used: WTSB72, 7.8 ODM2, 42 Windtech Fin.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU  Yeesss!  Finally a half decent beach breeze!!  Ended up being a super fun sesh off the mudpit with B1! Cool

Rocked up just after 1pm as the Markets were winding down.  We had another good chinwag with Freddo whilst rigging up- he gave me some good advice saying "bring tape"...  Obviously I didn't read between the lines at the time...  Now I realise, in hindsight, he meant bring tape to wrap around B1's fin when he's not looking- such a wise man is our Freddo! Wink

Bit lumpy for me to nail any sort of speed- just couldn't quite get the board pinging when the few opportunities were present between the swell...  Kudos to B1 for his efforts in that department putting in a few nice little downwinders carrying "balls of steel"! Smile

Happy with the hour in the conditions, which included lots of gybes- not the fastest @'s, but pulled most of em off!

Just another day in Far North QLD Tropical Paradise, in boardies of course!

Used the Jag 125, Severne 7.8 OD M2, BP Sabre 42.5
