Benny McCarthy (14648km):  2 categories   Far North QLD Tropical Paradise; Green Island, QLD, AU No worries with water depth today but Super Hard Yakka alround... Fading shifty wind... 14~8kn wrong direction... Tad more consistent further over towards Arlington in the big pool... Really Really Tough to stay upwind!!! Kinda knew it would be like this, but couldn't resist getting out on the water after reading the write ups during the working week! Thought I'd be sailing solo, but on arrival, was pleasantly suprised to meet up with our temporary resident Sydneysider Al Jamar who had stayed overnight in the lux suite. Al & I tried our little dandies off to make the most of the conditions... Big Kudos goes to Al for his efforts with a 7m sail and 121lt Futura board! Guess we can't complain too much as we had a few patches of sun in between the slow clouds where the Island was highlighted with that bright green ring- just magical when that happens! Used the big gear (again!!) Jag 125, KA 8.7, Tribal 38/Venom 40 "Long May our Big Jibs Draw!"
