We had a building ESE this arvo so I went up for a sail with Kato at A45.
We thought it would continue to fill in but it didnt so we were a bit marginal on the size. Could only just get going quite afew times.
I followed Craig 'cause I dont know where the shallow bits are. he said thats not very good idea as he is always running into them, but I figured that he would hit them first and I could bail. LOL!
It was abit of fun, but also a bit frustrating with the wind for the gear we had. I should have been at least half a meter bigger sail. 1m more would have been fine!
I did a test I have been wanting to do for quite some time. I ran 2 x LCD motions in my helmet and 2 x Minis in a H2Oaudio arm bag side by side. The results were very interesting in many ways for a GPS nerd, but the simple report is that thery were all pleasingly very close. The biggest differences over all 4 in the order of under 0.05Kts. Of course, I posted from the Highest set, but that is also the newest firmware.
