910 days ago 1 categories Melville Beach, WA, AU. Lots of Pinas out today. Richo looked like he was sending it big time. Was over cooked a bit on the 7.8 and tried a new board (iSonic97) for a few laps but the combo of gusty, overpowered and struggling to get into back straps meant I swapped back to the bigger more familiar board. There were some brutal gusts and kept thinking to change down but then wind would drop off and only just enough power on the 7.8 so just kept at it. Slowy did a 40+ and I only just cleared 30. Worked on alphas but never seemed to get good wind in both directions. Was almost crowded for a while and then suddenly all but one or two sailors left, did I fart?, was there a shark? Another lockdown? Wind however seemed a bit less gusty, water a little flatter and better suited to to my setup so trucked along till came off the plane and came in. Wind picked up again of course but was enough for me. 120 Tabou Rocket, 7.8 Severne Overdrive M2, FF24

910 days ago iSonic 90, 6.2Mach4 and 30cm carbon pointer fin (home made). Sooooo nice to see the sun and all the speedy boys out at Melville. It was gusty, changing direction and full of holes but hey, it's Melville. Good to see Scott Simms on the water with lots of nice sparkly new equipment, Flex went out at 6am and was still going at 6pm (I am lying for comedic effect). New man Richo was hitting 36knots with his new free sail. Slowboat turned up late with his slow boat and then managed to squeeze 41 knots out of it. All in all a very good day.

Fun session at Melville and a pretty good turnout by the Pinnas. Great to see Richo going for it.

Great day on the water at Melville. Started off with 2 great runs but i didnt have GT 11 on due to my rush to get into the water. Still very happy with my new PB. Great to see Reg and Jim again. Also caught up with Scott and gotta say very happy to be part of the Pinnaroos as everybody ive met has been super friendly and welcomed me. Looking forward to sailing with more of the gang.
