Hardie (35683km): Liptons'an even more fun sail, Point Grey was firing, wish I couldve stayed out and been on the speed gear. But still a lot of fun on the Simmer 3XS 96, TR16 6.3 and Pepefoil 23/48
SluGger (13722km): Coodanup, WA, AU pat 115l simmer 7m fangy 24 very light to start but eventually filled in was great fun hitting the golf greens best golf game ive ever played. good to catch up with everyone
The Scud (1975km): WT 72 ,7.8,FF 26 first go in proper weed fest ,felt like the windsurfing equivalent of squid games each run into the field, but started to get the hang of it ,the big fin didn’t help trying to get out again ,live and learn.
waricle (17386km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU ca 6.6 62 scr6.3 fangy 18/4 and tws 31 I arrived at Fangys with only a 6.3 and watching the boys dredging on 7.8 & 7 so went around to Liptons where it was blowing and watched Joseph ripping back and forth on a 6.3 so rigged and took off on the 66 for my nm and managed to spin out in the channel with the tws 31 so that was that for the nm as far as I was concerned. I went back to shore and changed to the 62 with the fangy 18 mk 4 and decided to play in the weed. I couldn’t manage to coincide the gusts with my ambition so it seems today was not the day for speed either. Tried some gybes but the quicker ones were all too big so that was that. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing and the tide was a good height. Great to be on the water again.. 👍😁
fangy (22667km): Once the news had come through that Scud the Wind Assassin had managed to get the arvo off, I in turn wrote off today for anything other than a social gatho. T1 messaged to say he was devaluing all the waterfront properties by parking the TubbyVan on site but had gotten a bit bored of playing Candy Crush on his phone. I rolled off down to join him. Turns out that as usual Iain had been there since breakfast and was already heading out into a pretty iffy sort of zephyr. Once T1 had finished reciting the epic tome of how he had almost thought about starting to think about perhaps maybe installing some boards racks in the van next to the soft serve dispenser, I went for the Barge and Simmer 7.8.
The plan was to start smashing a channel into the weed. Initially the breeze was so asthmatic I had trouble just getting up to the top, let alone doing some ploughing. Eventually Huey made a bit more of an appearance and I set to work. The end result was quite a nice run through the weed that was about right for the wind today, but with a stronger breeze or more SSW it may need some refinement downhill. Regardless, it’s still a buzz getting a run down a weedy channel again. Bring on some more puff Huey! Top Ten Fangy day on the golf course with a squad of Happy Gilmores. Party Barge 310, FF waisted fillet proto
Decrepit (54483km): Lots of Fun gardening at Fangys, ploughing channels in the weed. Peter and I joined, slugger, fangy, the scud and Ian. Firie arrived in the Valiant for a chat. Wind was light so went with the 6.6 koncept, 55cm board and 20cm fangyised deltoid. here's the coloured crayons |
