Boz (39135km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU New 5.7 KAR sail test at Liptons, magic sail just needed more wind, KA got this sail perfect
Flex (15695km): Melville Beach, WA, AU. Got the new TWS fin to suit the smaller board this morning but made the mistake of not test fitting it. Found out didn't have the right length screws and wasted a pile of time farting about so chose to go out on FF22. Was too much chop for the little fin and was spinning out when doing speed run so chose to go back to bigger board and fin. Went slightly faster on the bigger setup but for sure would have been better with smaller board and the TWS. Wind came in strong just as was leaving. iSonic97+FF22 then 120 Tabou Rocket+33TWS with 6.5 Severne Turbo
Reg (3745km): iSonic 90, 6.2 Mach4, 19cm weedspeed and me. Quite a pleasant day today at Melville:flat water, reasonably consistent wind and tide was about right. The only issue I had was being targetted by Mr Boat and his close approaches combined with a drenching.
Pointman (24946km): Liptons. A bit underwhelming, unfortunately the forecast didn't really deliver. Went with the WT64 + 7.8 M3 + 33 Tribal WS combo. Tried for an hour, cos that is what we needed to beat the Bogans, but Huey didn't play ball. One of those days when I shoulda stayed local Oh well, still an enjoyable sesh, just didn't quite live up to expectations.
Antman (22985km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Had high hopes today that liptons was going to deliver.....35 knots along the coast but never made it into the esturary,, great company though :) under gunned on the 47 mistral 20 ws..Better on the 90RS2,6.2 NX 27ws..
Jeff (13294km): Lancelin, foiling 65 wing, 4.2 ezzy main break area, bit shallow really but managed to avoid most of the reefy stuff. last sail of the year for me. X marks the caravan site. |
