Reg (3745km): Melville....As a trainee masochist I decided to take my very little JP 47 speed board out with a 6.2 Mach 4. If the wind hadn't been so gusty and the water in the channei so deep and boards and other craft everywhere it would have been a good session. After an hour of sinking and failed water starts and doing battle with zero to 25 knots wind, I gave up and changed to the good old faithfull iSonic90 (which sounds like some sort of new sports drink). The world and his wife were out at Melville but the only person I met on the water was Ricey.
Pos (11755km): Coodanup, WA Out at fangyland on the 12'6" WT Custom with 8.6 Loft RB. Good to see Mr Scheltema back on the water again - was there with Ken on his new 12'6" as well. Caught up with Fangy and Anita turned up later in the afternoon. Nice being on the water after a full on week at work.
Boz (39135km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Liptons and PG with Richo and the usual Mandurah Mob and the blow in Stretchy, turned out better than expected and definitely better than yesterday, should have rigged the 6.3 but kind of like the 5.7😁 Manta 59 KAR5.7
Richo 72 (5640km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Great day sailing with Boz, and a few from the MOB. First proper sail at Pnt Grey in some good coditions. Manta 98 6.9 Loftsail 27 W/S
Ricey (11089km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Supposed to be a light sail to test my strained shoulder, but both wind and shoulder stronger than expected. Great 125 then 105 Rocket, 6.5 2xc, 22 and 20 deltas. Had some sail rigging advice from Jay which was much appreciated. Reg was on his speed needle - pretty challenging in the lulls.
Windxtasy (13853km): Coodanup, WA, AU M 91, 6.2K, 22FF, then Sonic 85. 16 knots of wind Thought I would test out a couple of boards today in moderate wind. I felt much more comfortable on the Sonic and it was much easier to gybe. Peak speed was on the Mistral, best nm and alpha on the Sonic. Pleased with the distance which is my best since 1st Feb last year. Most of the numbers are very similar to that session, which was in Albany. Interesting. My fitness is coming back, now I just need to get the gybes happening smoothly again. Good to catch up with Crimson Flash, and especially Windtech, who is back on the water again. ... and good to have a test match to listen to on the drive to and from Coodanup.
tailwind (7476km): Majestic Point, WA, AU small wing today but didnt have a small enough sail. the 4.3 was too much |
