Yes, I went out...8.6 R7 OD; Patrick F-R 130; Choco FB 42...Melville....hot day, light wind...and it went something like this:

1. Decided to rig and just get wet after work cos it was hot

2. First run out my new adjustable outhaul clamp slipped - came in tightened both clamps

3. Went out again....all OK...gybed and as i popped the cams the outhaul clamp slipped right down and the 2 rubber spacers went bye bye into the water

4. Came in, removed adjustable outhaul completely, rigged up an outhaul rope but didn't have a cleat block so just tied it off and went out again

5. Predictably the knot slipped and the sail was pretty much over the boom...gybed and sailed in as best I could and re-tied the knot

6. Seemed OK but the wind was dropping now and there was a shitload of floating weed that kept catching the pointer so hard to get planing

7. Had a couple of half powered runs as the wind direction changed to S/SE so decided to call it

8. Changing out of my boardies to de-rig when a woman decided to let her 2 small dogs run around - yep, one of them ran straight over the top of the sail

9. I spoke somewhat unkind words to the dog - lady owner says "well it didn't damage the sail" - I thought "sorry about that" would have been a better reply

10. After my suggestion , woman (reluctantly) puts leads on both dogs and goes and sits with her boyfriend as he pumps up his wind ding...say no more!

11. Went home and re-jigged adjustable outhaul with thicker rubber sleeves on the clamps

12. I guess it was better than being at work....I think????
