Afternoon B&J sail with Phil. Kicked off proceedings on the high tide with big ugly washing machine chop and 20+knts, so rigged small sail and big board in the hope for some wave face action. 5.5 Ezzy will be a great little sail. Had a few plays on the waves but a bit scarce now that the sandbanks have gone. . Wind then started getting patchy so perservered for a while then changed up for a quick shallow water run on the slaom gear. Fanatic 113 FSW, 5.5 Ezzy infinity, then CA SL58 and 6.5 Lion with tribal weedspeed, Tired and happy boy now.

Desperado solo sesh off Green Island, QLD, AU - First sail in over a month!!!  Gusty 8~18kn & wind all over the place.

Conditions were looking super gnarly on the ferry trip over- first thoughts were being blown off the water...  Arrived to a big rain cloud which settled things right down to a gentle breeze...  Aaargghhh!  So rigged the Severne 7.8 OD M2 to go with the Jag 108 & Tribal 38 (had limited choices) and waited for the next set of squalls to come through.

Ten minutes later, after some toe tapping, wind started to come back in enough for a blat, so off I went for about 40mins with some decent gusts before another rain cloud came in dulling it down to a dredge fest...  Triceps were reeling anyways from last weeks waterskiing efforts after a 20 year hiatus, so decided to sit on the beach for a while at the tip of the island watching the plethora of wildlife in close- rays, reef sharks, bait fish, bikinis, etc.

A couple more light squalls finally came through so tried to make the most of it before pack up time & the 230 boat home.

Not the usual GI experience with the tide being so high- when there was wind, the water state quickly turned rough as guts.  No chance of any speed runs nor standing on the reef flats for the entire session...  Tracks tell the story- Track Details (ka72.com)

I kinda knew what I was in for, that being said, glad to have made the effort!  Soothed some itch!! Smile

Nice job Sean.

Troy, paying it forward has its faults mate, but super stoked you got out for a session.

B2, it was always going to be tuff champ. Kudos but, for having a crack and giving that itch a reasonable scratch.
