Lyttelton Harbour, Started on the foil. Was rather rough so went for a tiki tour up the harbour. Then changed to the fin and no sail change  but was a bit underpowered so clocked up a ton to make sure i was done for the day. JP 135, FF 79 LRB 6.3, 725/105/255@-1.0, C3 34

Light sea breeze N 15knots and some lessons learnt.  KAR 7.0, IS87, Tribal 32.

Atawhai - high tide.

I put the foilboard in the car but arrived late (just before high tide) so not much time before the foil would be hitting the bottom.  So I rigged the 7.0,  its too good to use for a beginner foiler'(crashing!)  so out I went on the IS87.  Speeds were ok but felt like I was always going upwind to maintain ground. Outgoing tide (with the wind) and underpowered at times were to blame here.

Tried overtaking windsurf nelson (on the foil) and I couldn't catch him over a few reaches....good stuff!
