Melville Beach, WA, AU. Wasn't expecting much wind so didn't notice wind had come up.  Headed down with yellow arrows but once rigged immediately they turned red.  Went out, scored a few gusts but otherwise was chug fest.

Albany, WA, AU sonic 85 5m Koncept then 6.2 Koncept, 16 tribal delta.

first session, alpha practice, 5m sail. Not enough power. rigging bigger.

second session 6.2 sail, wind dropped further, still not enough power, tried a few alphas but not enough power.

getting sore, called it a day.

It is very rare for me to sail 30+ km three days in a row. Can't think of the last time. Usually I am too sore and tired to sail two days in a row. I guess you make a special effort when you have driven for 6 hours to get here.

Still managed a top 3 alpha. Happy with that, but would have been happier with just a bit mroe wind.

The tide was perfect today and the weather was warm - shortie wetsuit! A bit of a change from 2 days ago when it was really cold and people were wearing 2 wetsuits to keep warm!

last day tomorrow, Sue.

Thanks, a 3rd best for me. Pity the wind dropped further after I rigged bigger and I just got slower

Well done Anita, Richo must have inspired you😁 the two wetsuits the other day was not to have another encounter with the mistral, failed miserably when I went back to the short leg and the Mistral decided to take another bite out of my gammy leg. So now I have 4 love bites from the mistral😔

Nice Alpha Anita, especially in underpowered conditions.   The Alpha really interests me.   If you take a look at Woody's best Alpha (28.2) on the big day out (Feb 2), he completely stuffed up the gybe but managed to accelerate so quickly and get parallel with the incoming path in the space of a few meters it really is impressive.  In his own words, anyone can come in fast, anyone can gybe but the exit is where it happens.   Easy to say but not so easy to do

Hey Flex, here's all we need to know about how to do an alpha and how not to! Blue is Woody's PB alpha (28), Orange is my PB alpha (23).
