Great to get back on the water after quite a while in the duldrums and to have my right hand man back for easter to share the stoke. Enough power on the 6.3 SCR,98 Falcon,29 Tec ws.

Foilville.

Looked pretty fresh when I rocked up around 2:30, and Dazz was rigging a 6.0, so I went with the slalom foil combo (550 front wing + 95 fuse) + 6.6 TR7.

I was having a mint sesh, and enjoying fanging around fully lit, when I snapped a mast (no crash, I was just cruising along) just off Kiters' Beach.

Bummer Frown cos I was having a great time, and that makes three masts this season, so it's been a shocker for gear damage.

Swam in a few hundred metres and walked back around to the car.

Nice to be back out on the water. Light conditions but enough to get going.

Melville Beach, WA, AU iS111, 6.2 Koncept, 36 CF - just right!

First real wind since Albany, first time I have used a pointer in ages, first time I have used a sail smaller than 7m in ages, first time I have had my hat blown off in ages, and the most fun on the water I have had in a long time (Since Albany in Feb). It was gusty, holey and shifty, but it was frontal wind so that was probably the same everywhere. It was also warm and sunny, so all in all, very pleasant. I was on call, so it had to be a quickie at the local, although Mandurah was very tempting.

It would have been a good opportunity to test my DIY GPS units but they both have epoxy curing at present. Posting from the old GT31.

That is bad luck, Pointy, glad the walk wasn't too long for you. I hope the alpha jellybean will help you feel better. You are foiling well when your alpha is as good as Ant's on slalom.

Good to see our scores improve in every category.

Happy birthday Ant, I am sure it was an unexpectedly good one for you (wind + sunshine), and welcome back Kai.
