Koombana Bay, WA, AU. GTR+, JP135, SMax6. Foil with Busso Dave and a bunch of wingers. Gave up on intentions to have a slap, which was an effective way to get the wind to kick in

Point Grey, WA, AU CA66 SCR6.3 fangy 21 First sail since I don’t know when. A nice breeze when Decrepit and I rigged which turned into a mega squall with zero visibility and then nothing. We waited a while and eventually some breeze almost arrived. Mike called it and I stayed out a while longer and got a couple of gusts. Better than watching politics on tv.

This could be the record for my shortest session.

Arrived at Boombas as the wind started to blow, Waricle was already mostly rigged, he said it's still picking up.

I started to to rig the 5.7 on the 55 with 23@40/60. But then I had a reading of 25kts, so changed my mind and went with the 5.2.

By the time Im was ready to hit the water, a huge rain squall came through, visibility only about 100m. Thought I'de wait for it to ease, but by then the wind had also finished. So managed to get one remaining gust, before it dripped right out.

But although it was a lot of work for very little reward, it was still great to be back on the water after a long break.

I had all good intentions for going for a sail, lobbed up at Cobblers with all my kit, saw more water falling from the heavans than what I would've been sailing on and decided that staying dry was a far mor appealing option.
