Berowne’s top tips on how to stay cold this winter…

1. Wear booties and get your foot stuck

2. Wear booties and miss your footstrap

3. Tack and let the boom slip through your fingertips

4. Gybe too high

5. Gybe to low

6. “Send it” downwind in 60cm swell and get kicked out the top of some swell

7. “Send it” downwind and spank the back of a wave

8. “Play it safe” downwind unhooked and breach anyway! Urgh.

9. Have your harness lines so long you can’t hook in when you gybe and head upwind.

10. [ catapult at full speed on a reach] just not today.
