Port Douglas, QLD, AU..Quick blast after work, my mate Rick was keen to get out on the water. Wasn't sure what the wind was gunna do as it was up and down all day.Rigged fully pumped burnt out 7m on one 120 Fox with big fin..Wind was a bit softer than i thought and had to fight  a big in coming tide..Had some light wind sailing for a start but it freshened up in the sesond half which made it all a bit of fun.Did some play racing with Rick who was fired up on a Isonic, he was hard to catch on the flatter water in close..But his session was cut a bit short as he hit a UFO' unidenterfied floating object' maybe a turtle and had a major 'wipe out'..I was right behind him when it happened and it wasn't a good look.. Was surprised he wasn't hurt more as he went over the handle bars' big time' while being fully powered up.. Totaly trashed his board, fin was smashed and fin box is totaly rooted. So it was game over for him and he had to limp home. I did a few more laps till sun down and wind started to soften off so i lost interest..Would of been nice to get a few more kms in as i don't like rigging up for less than 60kms..But you get that some times..cheers Ed..
