Went the early sesh, cos my missus needed the car this arvo, so I was on the water @8:40.
It was gusty, but looked to be building, so went the FTY + 800 wing + 7.0 M3, which was about right, comfy in the 22-23K gusts.
Still a few lulls, but overall it was a fun little sesh to start the weekend
Finally got the ally foil over 22K, but not by much, so the carbon mast is still on the wishlist.

Early morning trip down to Boombas and on the water around 7am. Beautiful sunrise and pelicans, ospreys cruising overhead - doesn't get much better than this. Bit of a slow start until the wind kicked in around mid morning. Was on my lonesome for a while until Boz, Flex and Gloria turned up for some company. Wind was a bit shifty and swinging from NE to NW so got caught around the point when it swung more NW so had a bit of a schlogg getting back to the carpark. First sail for quite a while so the fitness was a bit average. Started out on the Windtech 72 with 7.8 Loft Racing Blade then went to the old trusty Cruise Missile when huey booted in. Heaps of fun and good to be on the water again. Great to see Gloria enjoying her 72 Silver Bullet WT.

594 days ago Point Grey, WA, AU. Arrived to find Boz standing around in no wind and CrimsonFlash doing an Elmo over in Austin bay. After a 1 hr chilly chat fest wind picked up a little and we finally saw the Flashy one reappear. The ever grinning go getting granny Gloria turned up to brave the wild conditions. Rigged 6.3 and FF22 and was over cooked and outta control in the chop then wind dropped dead. After limping back used the lull to change to 29TWS and wind booted back in. Was still over cooked but more in control and hung on for 30km before deciding to come in to change down. Was still over powered on the 5.7 and the chop was on steroids. Boz and I decided 'one more run' and was the most brutal of all in lots of stinging rain, got back to the car park in full poo stance mode. Within 30 seconds the wind dropped dead and spun west. Talk about luck. Tide was highest ever seen fully over the road. iSonic97, 6.3 then 5.7 KAR, 29TWS
