824 days ago South Bird Island, Corpus Christi. Gusty NW winds, lots of work trying to get the Missile started. Cold enough to require a long sleeve suit, so my lower arms were shot quickly - especially the right arm which has some kind of weird tendonitis or muscle ache that does not go away. By the time I had figured out how to set up runs, I had barely enough energy for a couple, before walking and drifting most of the way back. Wind direction was sqare to the speed strip, so runs were into increasing chop. Need to get in shape again - there was plenty of wind for better speeds. The small speedboard probably was a poor choice for the spot and conditions, but fun to be on it again. Will have to make myself something with a bit more volume in the spring.
