Lake George, SA, AU || 12-16 SW

Rs3/ Koncept 7.5/ VMax 37

Did not have expectations, just tried to see if I could drive to the spit; once I got there there was a bit of breeze and i managed a few exploring runs. This year the lake is BIG, I used a straight fin, the weed is at the bottom.

Kyeemagh, NSW, AU || NNE 22-41kts

Manta 61, ODR8 5.7, Vmax4 33

Arrived about 2:30 to find it honkin' and only 3 people out. Big dark bullets were racing across the bay and it got angier and angrier as the afternoon grew longer. The numbers say it all. A sub-20kt alpha with a peak of 35. Crazy wind!!

Remi was flyin' as usual. Barks and John were white-knuckling it, Rick too on his 7m. Kenny was fanging on his speed board. Andrew was doing great for less than 12 months of sailing under his belt. New teamie, Eric was looking smooth on his little rocket. All-in-all a pretty good day, but a bit too much wind and chop for my liking. Survival mode.

Exocet RS3 - S2 Maui Venom 6.3 - 34 fin

Started on the 7.0 for some reason a bit too much sail Tongue out

The 6.3 was marginally better, but looking at the wind reading gusting at 39 knots it all makes sense now Surprised

Kyeemagh, NSW, AU || 118 Manta 6.0 Simmer 44cm Light wind slalom then 94 Isonic 5.0 Hotsails 32cm RS BP

There must be a 7 day cycle in these NErs, 'cause how have Mondays been of late?! Great vibe in and out of the water. Initial combo suited a couple of hours of light wind earlier, but when it got ballistic, the second combo served really well. Saw Nigel, Remi, and a heap of others. Top day!

Kyeemagh, NSW, AU.  Rocket 85L with a 32cm Nitro fin (better than the 28cm freeride) 5.5m2 sail to start, tried the 4.7m but it didn't feel right.  The wind finally calmed down towards the end of the day which was perfect.  Don't like the seal lice though, must try not to fall off so much :-)

Not often you see a PB in Remi's column!  Well done on the alpha.  Over 25 in the rough.  Well done on your speed as well Nige in the rough.  Awesome. Sorry no more wind now, as School holidays are over and I have a week off work.

For SE you can launch at the mud area or the spit. The spit is about 11 kms and 1/2 hr drive: with my car need to take it easy. Anything with W like today  you need to launch at the spit.

Yes Sammy I can see those little tender weeds growing and my heart fills with hope and trepidation Smile, all the best and hope to catch up in a few months.
