An interesting session...really a test to see how much slower it is to have a weed fin (will always be slower in normal conditions!).  Did half the session with 44 weed and half with 52 talon.  Wind was the same. 

10s average was 1.7 knots slower

2s max was 2.8  knots slower

Quite a big differnce...would have to be a lot of weed to be sure to be faster.  Trim of the board was completly differnt and you had to take care around the tail of the board not to gash your legs...like a knife where you don't expect it!

Just a reminder of how important the fin is and what a great fin the Talon is!

Well done on the Pbs, Griff.

Jim, need to move the mast base back on a weedy as centre of effort has shifted back. Small weedies can be quick but that is a big weedy.
